tentacles!

today, my friend the cuttlefishdiva came across a marvellous display of Octoplushes. In fact, the internet is teeming with tentacles: there is the famous design oddity spotting Pink Tentacle, the Cephalopodcast, the Octopus News Magazine, Squid and Squidblog are just some examples catering to all your tentacle needs. and i mean ALL your needs: the nether regions of the internet sport plenty of tentacle erotica (which somebody wrote an amusing article about) and, of course, plenty of tentacle horror (e.g. the infamous cthulu or the kraken). and i’m not going into tentacle recipes, as my cephalopod neighbour would immediately withdraw ink supply… it is also refreshing to see that ‘tentacled’ beings themselves are running their own websites, such as giant squids.

i once started writing a song about an octopus called frida who opens jars. there are other octopi who can do this in this country called ‘roger moore’ and ‘einstein’, but their names did not inspire me musically (apart from awaking memories of monty python’s ‘dennis moore’ song, argh!). unfortunately, my piano disintegrated too quickly under water, but i will have another go on land at some point… of course, cuttlefishdiva will be jealous!

Since you mentioned erotica, there is also this sculptor with a tentacular vibe.
